WARM Currents Call for Entries

26th Annual WARM Juried Exhibition
March 1st-March 26, 2010

Theme: How does your art form the current that carries your life? If you think of life as a river where has that river taken you? Is the water fast, slow, shallow or deep? Is the current treacherous or is it calm and quiet? What is water's place in your life?

Entry Deadline:
November 20, 2009

Juror: Beate C. Minkovski, co-founder and Executive Director of Woman Made Gallery in Chicago.



Eligibility: Must be a WARM member (you can become one to enter this show for $30 student rate) plus a program fee of $20. You may submit up to three entries.

Entries must be received at WARM, 550 Rice Street, St. Paul, MN by 8:00pm on November 20th. This is not a postmark deadline. The WARM office will be open Nov 20th from 3-8pm for hand-delivered entries.

Entries must include:
Documentation of work (up to 3 entries) on slides or CD, or up to a 10-minute video
Typed artist statement not to exceed 200 words, addressing the theme
$20 program fee and WARM membership fee
Entry form or photocopy of entry form (I can get you a photocopy, just let me know and I can put it in your studio)

Submission:
CD's MUST be Mac compatible
All submissions must be labeled with your name, title, date, medium, and dimensions of artwork. For digital submissions include a separate file on the CD with this info. Indicate if there are special installation needs and/or excessive weight.

Digital submissions should be 96 dpi, and 800 pixels on the longest side.

Video, performance
Submit video tape with cue instructions for viewing no more than a total of 10 minutes. Label cassette and case with your name, title, date, and total playing time. For performance also include overall dimension of work/site. Do not send original videos!

Gallery Sitting Requirements
Each person whose work is accepted must volunteer for one gallery shift during the show.

Dec 20-28 notification of accepted entries
Feb 22 11am-7pm delivery of work
March 4 reception 5-9pm
March 26 exhibition closes
March 27 pick up work 10am-5pm
