(I don't know why this is all messed up, if anyone knows how to fix it let me know!)
The Art Sale is drawing near. Please read the following and plan
ahead...
The MCAD Art Sale has become a tradition in the Twin Cities, drawing
over 3,400 people to campus to purchase student and alumni artwork. It
is a great opportunity to earn money and show your work to a large,
diverse audience. At last year's Art Sale $239,000 worth of artwork
was sold. Of that revenue 80% goes straight to the student and alumni
artists! We need your involvement to make this year even greater than
the last. Get started with the Student Submission Form:
http://intranet.mcad.edu/modules/announce/assets/artsale_participationform2009.pdf
Paper copies available in Student Affairs (m104). The
Submission Form is due on Wednesday October 21 in the Student Affairs
office. Download it now and get to work!
We want everyone, from every department to be involved! A big part of
last years success was the variety of work submitted: Buttons, Prints,
Paintings, Textiles, Books, Sculpture, Jewelry, Bags, Clothing,
Furniture, Drawings, Photographs, almost anything! Just make it
QUALITY and there is a space for it. Note that most of the work sold
last year was priced between $25 and $75... that is a ton of smaller,
affordable work that flew out the door! This is a great way to make
some money, flex your creativity, and introduce yourself to frenzied
local collectors.
