I will start posting tips for the Mid-Program Review, and if you have any questions feel free to e-mail me and I will get advice from the 2nd years (so it is not just me here).
When you have your meeting to pick spots in the gallery you may not end up with the space that (to you) would be ideal, either lighting wise or size wise. Last year we had some pretty tiny areas so a lot of editing and planning was necessary. Choosing what to display is something to discuss with your mentor, but use your critiques for practice.
If you have been putting up everything you have made between crits (which I hope is not the case unless it was really time consuming) then be more selective. Only put up what you really want feedback on or what you think is the strongest. This will aid in seeing how you can control a discussion about your work.
